Data within OSIS may be accessed by browsing or searching the project summaries or spatially, through the mapping application.

  • The project summary reports page contains an alphabetized list of all projects within OSIS. Use the filters to narrow the list to report projects by time period, species observed, methods, habitat type and region.
  • Use the OSIS mapping application to visualize the geographic distribution of research projects and to conduct spatial queries of the data. Select a project from the alphabetized list to zoom to its extent. Other sea turtle data layers are provided in this application including: sea turtle stranding and salvage records, sea turtle nesting beach density classifications, sea turtle nesting beach occurrence, and sea turtle critical habitat layers. Data search functions are available for all layers in the map application. For example, stranding records can be narrowed by species, time period or region.

FWC's sea turtle research data are also available for download in tabular, Google Earth KML and ArcGIS shapefile formats from Geodata.MyFWC.com.

Please contact us using the contact form or by email to SeaTurtleData@MyFWC.com if you have any questions regarding the application or data.
