OSIS is the On-line Sea Turtle Research and Monitoring Information System. This site combines information that describes in-water research and monitoring projects. Researchers can login to OSIS to view, edit, or submit a yearly update of their project.

OSIS now includes descriptions of over 60 in-water research and monitoring efforts. In addition to this, it also includes descriptions of other research and monitoring efforts that provide information on sea turtles in FL waters: sightings of sea turtles in aerial surveys targeting sea turtles, incidental sightings of sea turtles in aerial surveys targeting other species, captures of sea turtles as a result of relocation trawling associated with dredging projects and incidental take of sea turtles in other activities (e.g. fisheries and dredging). OSIS was generated from an existing in-water sea turtle research and monitoring database (outlined in Eaton et al. 2008) -
